1. Data controller

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data we need: name, email, tax number (for invoicing), phone and the information you give us voluntarily on the site (for example, in a rent estimate request) or when creating an account on the platform. Payment data (card) is collected and processed directly by Stripe and never passes through our servers.

When you use the demonstration accounts, we also record technical data about the visit: the date and time of the start, of the last activity and of the end, the number of requests to the server, IP address and browser identification. We use it to know when the demonstration is being used, to apply the time limit of each visit and to prevent abusive use. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the service and making it known. These records are not used to identify you as a person, nor combined with other data.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process your data to answer your request and to provide our rental management services. The legal basis is your consent and the performance of pre-contractual measures.

4. Retention

We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated, or for as long as the contractual relationship lasts, unless a legal obligation requires a longer retention period.

5. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).

6. Data sharing and processors

We do not sell your data. Data is hosted on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) and is shared only with the processors strictly necessary to provide the service, such as application hosting, payment processing, email delivery and the anti-bot protection of our public forms (Cloudflare Turnstile), which receives the IP address of the person submitting the form in order to validate that check. All of them are bound by contract to comply with the GDPR.

7. Data entered into the platform

When a client (agency or landlord) enters personal data of third parties into the platform (tenants, landlords, staff), that client is the data controller and Tagus Rentals acts as a processor (Article 28 GDPR): we process that data solely to provide the service, following the client’s instructions, and we do not use it for any other purpose.
